The cost of running an American Philatelic Society (APS) World Series
of Philately show is on the rise. ARIPEX runs every year alternating
between Tucson and Mesa, Arizona. The next show is scheduled from
January 14-16, 2011 in Tucson. When the show is in Tucson, an expensive
youth area is setup. It contains computers, stamps, and related educational
material. The electricity alone runs over $900. Historically, the 
AFSC funds every aspect of the show. However, in recent years, it is
becoming increasingly difficult to fund the youth area. Through the 
Postal History Foundation, we are soliciting funds to help offset this cost.  

The Federation does not want to stop having the youth area, but without
funds, we may not be able to continue. Each year, students are bussed 
in on Friday from schools across Tucson. There are usually around 1,000 
students that participate and students always walk away happy and have 
a great time learning about our hobby. The cost of bussing students in
is $125 per bus. If you would like to sponsor a bus (or busses), please send
a cash donation to the Postal History Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit
organization that adheres to the Donor's Bill of Rights.
